Challenges

Roemex faced challenges in managing complex lab projects that involved multiple manual processes, making it difficult for teams to scope projects and track performance. They wanted a more sophisticated solution to gain a detailed overview of product development.

Solutions

Roemex approached Appetite to model a solution using Microsoft 365 services. Following a design thinking workshop, we proposed establishing an automated system using SharePoint and Power Platform services.

A Power Apps application for the submission of lab
projects, allowing users to enter detailed information and
lab technicians to log hours and take photos.
Automated workflows built with Power Automate to
streamline the approval process and keep users informed of
project progress.
Power BI dashboards to visualise project performance
data and provide statistics on pending, rejected, and active
projects, allowing for analysis of sales and project feedback.

Outcomes

Roemex successfully implemented a fully automated lab project tracking and reporting system using SharePoint and Power Platform services, resulting in the following benefits:
