AI Policy

AI Policy

Introduction

At Appetite we always are innovating to find creative and high quality content for our customers. One of the tools that we use to achieve this goal is artificial intelligence (AI).

AI is a broad term that refers to any system or software that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognizing images, generating speech, or making decisions. AI can help us automate, optimize, and augment our creative processes, as well as provide new insights and opportunities for serving our customers better.

However, we also recognize that AI comes with certain challenges and risks, such as ethical, legal, and social implications. We value the copyrights and the creativity of our employees, and we respect the rights and expectations of our customers and partners. Therefore, we have developed this policy to guide our use of AI in a responsible and transparent way.

Policy Principles

The following principles inform our decisions and actions when we use AI in our products and services:

  • We use AI to enhance, not replace, human creativity and judgment.
  • We use AI to improve the quality, diversity, and accessibility of our content, not to compromise it.
  • We use AI to create value for our customers and partners, not to mislead or deceive them.
  • We use AI to respect and protect the intellectual property rights of ourselves and others, not to infringe or violate them.
  • We use AI to uphold the ethical and professional standards of our industry, not to undermine or violate them.

Policy Practices

The following practices help us implement our policy principles in our daily work:

  • We only use AI tools and services that are reliable, secure, and trustworthy, and that (to the best of our knowledge) comply with the relevant laws and regulations.
  • We only use AI tools and services that are compatible with our mission, vision, and values, and that align with our customers’ and partners’ expectations and preferences.
  • We only use AI tools and services that are respectful of human dignity, diversity, and autonomy, and that do not discriminate, exploit, or manipulate anyone.
  • We should always aim to disclose and acknowledge the use of AI in our products and services, and we provide clear and accurate information about the limitations of the AI-generated content.
  • As part of our commitment to innovation and efficiency, we regularly incorporate AI tools (such as Microsoft 365 Copilot) to enhance our daily communications, such as emails, blogs and web site articles. In these use cases, it will not be explicitly mentioned that AI has supported the outcome.

Policy Review

AI is a dynamic and evolving field, and our policy may need to be updated and revised as new technologies, trends, and challenges emerge. Therefore, we commit to regularly review and assess our policy and its implementation, and to solicit feedback and input from our stakeholders and experts. We will communicate any changes or updates to our policy to our employees, customers, and partners in a timely and transparent manner.

For any questions regarding this policy please do not hesitate to contact us at hello@appetite.business.

Our Commitment to Responsible AI

We believe AI should make businesses better. Not put their people, data or trust at risk.

At Appetite for Business, we embrace the opportunities artificial intelligence brings. We also recognise the responsibility that comes with using it.

Our approach is simple. We use AI thoughtfully, securely and transparently with people remaining accountable for the work we deliver.

How we use AI

We may use AI to support research, analysis, content development, problem-solving and the delivery of our services.

AI helps us work more efficiently but it doesn’t replace our professional expertise, judgement or responsibility to our customers.

Protecting your information

Your information deserves the same care and protection, whether AI is involved or not.

We use approved tools and appropriate security controls to safeguars infromation.

We do not use confidential customer information or personal data with AI unless appropriate authorisation, safeguards and contractual agreements are in place.

Our use of AI must comply with applicable data protection legislation, confidentiality obligations and customer agreements.

Human oversight. Always.

AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information.

Our people remain responsible for reviewing AI-assisted work, applying professional judgement and checking outputs as appropriate before they are used or shared.

We don’t hand accountability over to technology.

Transparency and trust

We believe customers should have confidence in how their information is handled ad how our work is delivered.

We are open about our use of AI and will explain where it plays a material role in delivering our services.

We respect customer-specific requirements and contractual restrictions relating to AI.

If you have concerns about how AI may be used in delivering your services, we encourage you to speak with us.

Responsible by design

We take a considered approach to adopting AI, assessing potential benefits alongside risks relating to security, privacy, accuracy, fairness and intellectual property.

We maintain internal governance arrangements to guide how AI tools are approved and used.

We regularly review our practices as technology, regulation and customer expectations evolve.

Our Promise

We will never put convenience ahead of confidentiality, automation ahead of accountability, or technology ahead of people.

That’s what responsible AI means to us.
