NHS Grampian underwent a digital transformation initiative in collaboration with Microsoft and another partner to improve collaboration for their user base and put patient care back at the heart of the trust. However, this large-scale implementation had a short timeline, and the eHealth team required a trusted partner to help sense-check the proposed implementation approach.
Our team partnered with stakeholders to use a structured methodology and deliver a consultative package of work. We helped them map out the next stages and benefits of our approach, advised on risks and considerations, and provided an Information Architecture document, SharePoint migration best practices, and an Implementation support plan. These documents were crucial in obtaining board-level buy-in for the project.
The consultancy assignment was a resounding success and was completed sooner than expected, as well as under budget. The result was met with enthusiastic praise and assurance that what they had was the guidance and support to allow them a more suitable way of working for NSHG and ensuring a futureproofed scalable solution.
